Expressing the Hard Stuff

There has been so much going on in the world lately. In case you've somehow missed everything for the last three months, there's a global COVID-19 pandemic and the world is protesting the disproportionate killing of unarmed black people by police, sparked by the death of George Floyd.

It's a lot.

As a black person myself, I never thought I would see not just this country, but the world rallying behind this issue. It's overwhelming.

Many in the dance community have been speaking up on how we can be better and more inclusive and I love it. I love that it's coming from not just dancers of color, but everyone. I don't think I've ever been more proud of the dance community.

Just a small smattering of the awesome outpour:

This only scratches the surface of the outpouring of support and all I can say is thank you to the dance community at large.
